UM recruit Walters to join U.S. NTDP U-17 for Four Nations tournament

According to the Gopher Hockey Blog, Minnesota recruit Ryan Walters will join the U.S. NTDP Under-17 Team when they travel to Russia to take part in the Four Nations tournament on November 7-11. Walters, who will join Minnesota in 2010 after playing for St. Thomas High School this year and for Des Moines in the USHL the next two seasons, narrowly missed making the team this summer as a full-time player.

Walters will join former Chaska High School defenseman Nick Mattson (uncommitted) as the only two Minnesota-natives on the team.
